Kristina Sunshine Jung (Kristina Karan) is the daughter of George Jung and Mirtha Jung (nee Mirtha Calderon). Kristina Sunshine Jung was born in 1978. She is 38 years old in 2016.
Kristina’s parents divorced in 1984, when she was only 6 years old. Sunshine’s father is 74 in 2016; he lives in California and suffers from dementia. Her mother is in her 60s in 2016; her current location is unknown, but it is believed that she lives somewhere in the US.
Sources suggest that Kristina Sunshine Jung used to reside in Stockton, CA with her husband Romain Karan (39). The two have children together, but it is unknown whether Kristina and her husband are still together.
Kristine has lived in California most of her life, including: San Mateo, Concord, Millbrae, Napa, Pittsburg, and Walnut Creek.
Kristina Sunshine Selina Noel Jung starred in the 2001 biographical drama – Blow (cocaine). In Blow, she was portrayed by two now-famous actresses – Emma Roberts and Jaime King. Not everything depicted in the movie is true. For example, Kristina did visit her father in jail. The two spoke by phone soon after he was released from prison on June 2, 2014, and now they are working together on their new family business – Boston George Apparel.
Kristina Jung’s mother was addicted to cocaine, Kristina’s father was smuggling humongous amounts of cocaine into the US. Mirtha and George abused alcohol, fought a lot, often had financial difficulties and parenting issues. Overall, it must have been difficult to grow up in this family…
Kristina Jung’s mother went clean in 1981, when Sunshine was three years old. In 2001, Kristina and her mother Mirtha worked with Ted Demme on the movie Blow, and Ted admired Mirtha for going clean in the name of her daughter.

As mentioned above, Kristina reconciled with her father. This is clear from their Instagram photos, which depict a smiling Kristina and her father at different events. By the way, there seems to be an apparent fake Facebook page made in Kristina’s name – the photo of the owner looks nothing like her.
The daughter of Mirtha Jung and Boston George (El Americano) turned into an energetic entrepreneur. She is tirelessly promoting BG apparel and merchandise (BG APPAREL & MERCHANDISE, Inc. 131-A STONY CIRCLE SUITE 500 SANTA ROSA, CA 95401) at different events.
In December 2015, Kristina and George were signing autographs at an event with Tremendous Films Inc. – a film production company, which leads us to anticipate an upcoming movie. In January 2016, they were at the GOODTIMES car club. There is a photo of Sunshine on the makeup set posted in February 2016.
Kristina’s sister (half-sister) Clara Pearson, pictured on the set during the filming of Blow with Johnny Depp, is also helping her sister and dad promote BG merchandise via Instagram. In July, 2016 a picture of Johnny
Depp holding the new Boston George Shirt was posted by Clara. The family launched a campaign where you could get your T-shirt by following @bostongeorgeapparel.
On August 1, 2016 @the_real_bostongeorge posted: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUNSHINE! Everyone please take a moment out of your day to wish @kristina_sunshine_jung a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” In September 2016 he wrote: “FOLLOW @kristina_sunshine_jung and her JOURNEY while she builds OUR empire”.
Kristina Sunshine Jung’s net worth is unknown, but if she succeeds is her current entrepreneurial effort, she will be golden. But she is already golden for her daughter – Athena Romina Karan posted on Jun 11, 2015: “The person I am most thankful to I would of never made it to this day without my beautiful and amazing mother”.
George Jung (El Americano, Boston George) was among the biggest drug traffickers in the US in the 1970’s and 1980’s. He was part of the Medellín Cartel responsible for most of cocaine smuggled to the United States.
On his road to riches, George came up with an ingenious idea to steal single-engine aircrafts for his transportation and charge $10,000 per kilogram of cocaine, with 5 planes going from Colombia to California.
In 1994 he was sentenced to 60 years in prison. George Jung’s daughter Kristina Sunshine was about 6-years old at that time. He served only 20 of them and was released in 2014. George’s sentence was reduced after he testified against his former partner Carlos Lehder Rivas.
In the Blow, Kristina is in the credits as a clerk. Her scene didn’t get into the film, but it can be seen on the special and deleted scenes part of its second DVD.
The movie ends with the sad scene of George Jung admitting that his daughter Kristina was the best thing in his life.
