Delilah Fishburne – what do we know about her? Find out more about Delilah, her parents and life.
At 55 years old, Delilah Fishburne father – Laurence Fishburne still cuts an impressively imposing figure. Probably best known for his moody, mysterious role as Morpheous, the enigmatic captain of the hovercraft, the Nebuchadnezzar, in the Wachowski Sisters’ Matrix Trilogy.
He married Hajna O. Moss in 1985 and the couple had two children together – a son, Langston who is now twenty years old, and a daughter, Montana, now twenty-five. Montana previously caused a storm, way back in 2010 by appearing, at the age of just eighteen, in an adult movie. This understandably caused a tremendous amount of upset for her father, and, because of his apparent reluctance to discuss the matter with the media, it’s unclear whether the two of them still have a relationship.
In the 90s, Fishburne and Moss divorced, and he later met Gina Torres (Delilah’s mother), star of lawyer drama Suits, whom he married in the autumn of 2002. They are a very private couple, but Torres has talked briefly about how they have worked together, and that their home-time conversations are no different to every other couples ‘how was work?’ discussions.
In 2007, five years after their marriage, Alan Nierob, Fishburne’s spokesperson, announced that Fishburne and Torres were expecting their first child together. Five months after the announcement, in June, Gina Torres gave birth to the couple’s child, a daughter Delilah Fishburne.
If you look at the pictures of Delilah, such as when Lawrence Fishburne and his wife Gina Torres visited Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in Los Angeles, California in 2009 to select a pumpkin for Halloween – you will see that the girl resembles her father quite a bit.
While not much is known about Delilah, now approaching her tenth birthday, it is known that the couple live in Hollywood, which is to be expected of such a successful acting couple, as well as owning a second home in New York.
The couple appear to be very private about their family life, and this is not surprising based on his first daughter’s previous stint in ‘acting’, but we can hope that Delilah Fishburne doesn’t follow in her half-sister’s footsteps later in life.
